You'll need to do quite a few things to get them to work. You'll need a new harness due to the different connectors as the projector headlights have an additional cable. This cable needs to be connected to the ccfl to allow the shutter and full beats work when you flash. This is basically a cable from the headlight to the underside of the dash. You will also need to code it in using VAG com.

As for the bulbs, you can get canbus friendly hid kit with 5000k bulbs which will give a nice white light...OEM are generally 4300k. I believe that the bulbs for those headlights are the D2S type so make sure you get the correct ones....you can usually select these with the hid kit.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Thank you so much for your reply but if you look closer these aren't bixenon lamps they have a main beam light bed to the sidelight on the outer of the head light so I'm hoping ill just need the harness bulbs and ballasts?

You might want to check that because bi-xenon projectors also have both lights on the outer projector...one is for the side lights and the other is DRL. Take a photo of the back of the projector (without cover) and I can let you know but I think I'm right.

Ok I'll do this tomorrow but I can confirm. That the lights on the outer are headlight style I believe it's a h1 bulb in place it's not like a 207 bulb (tail light bulb)

In that case all you need I'd some canbus friendly hids and the correct bulbs for the projector....simple as that. Hids4u or hids direct do a terminator kit which is what you are probably after.

You could try these as per HIDs direct, what I don't know though is the type of bulb your projector takes...only you can confirm however if you take a photo of the back of where the bulb goes I can probably give you an idea. The below kit allows you to have H7 bulbs in a kelvin of your choice...4300k is OEM and 5000k has a slight faint blue to it but not much....I would stick with one of those. If your lights are for a D2S bulb you will need a new D2S bulb and harness to go with it...harness is £10 from ebay for the pair and bulbs range from £10 to £120 depending on the make.

Also, how did Bethany get on with those French people!?!?!?! :D

These are definitely bi-xenons. Plus, they also have ASF. They will be a bit of a pain in the ass to connect and work 100% oem retrofit. They will use d1s bulbs. Maybe you could get them to work without AFS with chinese ballasts. Oem retrofit would require leveling sensors front and rear, ASF would still be a major difficult puzzle...

Afs - adaptive frontlight system. They follow the road left and right. When u start the car they do not check only by going up and down, but also left and right... If they are oem and they look like they are, they are bi-xenons with AFS ;) The projector is both low and high beam, plus when u turn on high beam, normal high beam halogen bulbs kick in as well... My Altea has retrofitted projectors and hids, but my Superb has oem xenons. The same applies...

Bi Xenons with AFS - It is extremely difficult, practically impossible to get the AFS working properly in a retrofit, would probably recquire change of the processor and electronics controlling all this s.... At least, I have read a year ago about such a trial that ended as a failure. It goes far beyond having oem headlights, bulbs, ballasts, wiring, sensors and washers...

Just a thought...put the headlight part number on here and someone will tell you exactly the type of headlight it is!

Take a few photos too, most important are the bits inside to see if there are any adjusting motors or a solenoid for the cutoff shield.

Nah, just google, u tube and Altea/Leon brochure ;) Even those made in 2004 had bi-Xenons, only without AFS... I mean all oem xenons are bi-xenons for, like ages.... applies to all makes...
