Seat leon Led headlight retrofit

Facelift LEDs are much better, especially in terms of optics. I switched from pre-facelift LEDs three months ago. It wasn’t easy, but now that the work is done, I can say it wasn’t particularly difficult either.

Everything was done by me, except for the CP removal, which I had help with (no odis online account). Contrary to what was said here, it is doable on your own. I don't have any special skills when it comes to working on cars. After doing the backlight retrofit and upgrading the radio from 5.8" to 8", this was only the third retrofit I've ever done.

(The total cost of the headlight retrofit was under €1,300 — not including the cost of the ODIS China clone and VCP)

Personally, I think even the LED facelift headlights are bad, considering what other manufacturers brought to market during the same production period.

Did you have to change the bonnet and bumper to fit the facelift lights? Seen a few posts that say they need to be changed.

That is not true. As you can see in my pictures, it’s the stock pre-facelift (Cupra) bumper and bonnet. The headlights are exactly the same size and shape, so no modifications are needed. Of course we are speaking from Leon3 pFL to facelift and not to Leon4.

That's good to know, thank you! :)

Hello, How many people on here have actually attempted or have done a pre facelift halogen to led headlight retrofit?
I’ve already done the rears which was easy enough but onto the front, I was gifted a set of front LED headlight for free by a friend and would like to attempt a retrofit. I have vcds and coding isn’t a problem? But is it a direct plug in or have i to do wiring on the pins? I am also aware of the level sensor.
