Hi all!

Was thinking of retrofiting the rear dome light to my 2012 Seat Leon 1P. Wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers, or if someone already did it.
Car currently just has the front dome.
If anyone could chime in and help me out a bit.

Hey! I’ve actually done this retrofit on my 1P before, so I can definitely help out. The good news is that it’s not too complicated if you’re comfortable with a bit of DIY. You’ll need to get a rear dome light unit (usually from a donor car or online), the matching wiring harness, and maybe some trim removal tools to make things easier.

The process involves running the wiring from the front dome light area to the rear, which might mean removing parts of the headliner carefully. Check to see if your car already has pre-installed mounting points for the rear dome—it makes things much simpler if they’re there. Also, be sure to test the connections before fully putting everything back together. If you need more details or a step-by-step walk-through, just shout!
