I wonder if anybody can advice me please. I want to fit a dash cam to my new car, however rather than hardwire it into the system I was told an OBD2 cable would work without draining the car battery, when the camera is in parked mode.
My question:- Is it simple to access the OBD panel and connect the cable into the system please?

Connect to the fusebox, do it properly. It’s not hardwired as such. It’s just plugged into the front of the fusebox

Which fuse box?
And doesn't that need somebody who knows what they are doing with the fuse box?
