Better to ask that question on the Golf R forum, EG "what am I loosing buy not having Dynaudio" I would suggest.

According to the forums if you like your music it's a good idea to opt for the upgraded audio package.
The specs of the SS and DA are different.
SS being 9 speakers and a boot mounted sub system powered by a 135w 6 channel amp
DA being 8 speakers and a boot mounted sub powered by 400w 10 channel amp.
I imagine going from SS to the golfs standard system you'll notice a difference especially if you like your bass in your music.

I had the Dynaudio system in my mk6 Golf, and I must say I was a little disappointed. I found it was good if you like heavy base music, and you have the volume at ‘ear bleeding’ levels, but for me - I don’t enjoy heavy base, and I listen to music at ‘normal’ volume levels. I didn’t find it offered that much over the standard set up. I don’t have Dynaudio currently (I’m currently driving a Polo GTI and it wasn’t an option in the Polo) and I don’t miss it.
The Dynaudio system fitted to the mk7 Golf is meant to be better than the previous version in the mk6 Golf. Judging by the comments on one of the Golf forums of mk7 Golf owners with the Dynaudio system, most would spec it again. Some say that unless you’re a complete audiophile, the standard media system is fine.
I’d recommend going back to the dealer you’ve ordered your Golf R from and ask for back to back test drives in two mk7 Golfs; one with the Dynaudio system and one without so you can do a ‘real world’ direct comparison and judge for yourself. If you’ve not got a confirmed build date for your new Golf R yet, you could always change the build spec of your car to include the Dynaudio option.

The dynaudio and SS are very similar in sound (I imagine the main difference is the badging). I find the std golf 7.5 setup OK, but a bit wearing after a while, though it's better than the mk7.0s. Have a listen and do whatever your ears tell you is right.

At least on the pictures the sub in the boot looks near identical...
Oh, having looked at more pictures, while the housing and cover seemed near identical, pictures exposing the sub driver, shows a difference...
I'm assuming the Golf 7 and Golf 7.5 dynaudio systems are the same?

The Golf Dynaudio system resembles the Beats audio system in the Leon. Both systems have an amplifier under the drivers seat.
(SSS uses the amp that is integrated in the unit in the glove compartment)

Funny that, I remember asking the showroom about this...and they checked the specs sheet on the parts between the two sound systems, besides the addition of the centre and sub and amp, the tweeters and the front door speakers are the same, only the rear door speakers are different...I did also listen to the SSS in the showroom (with my music collection on SD card, so I know the songs) whilst I owned a standard sound system Leon (8 speaker one with Tech Pack not the entry level 6 speaker one)...and it took awhile to notice a difference. They were subtle, just fuller bass and more imaging, probably due to the centre speaker. Once the car is at speed, I'm not sure you can tell the difference. OK, if you push the volumes, I'm confident the SSS you would hear and feel the difference.
