Hi. I'm looking to upgrade to seat sound. Can anyone tell me what that consists of. And what obd2 reader does everyone recommend to switch on options. I'm also going to upgrade to mib2

This kit includes;
•Subwoofer
•Centre speaker
•Pre assembled and terminated wiring loom
•Sound datasets uploaded & coding altered*
•All required fixtures and fittings including a spare wheel screw

The sub goes in the spare wheel well in the boot (I believe you must have the space saver wheel - or buy it). Then if you look on top of the dash above the air con there’s a grill, I believe the centre speaker goes there.

Just keep in mind I think there’s a 2-3 month waiting list. I’ve got mine on order.

Space saver isn't needed as there's foam available for cars with seat sound but no spare wheel ?

Waiting list is for installation, however were currently waiting on parts to become available to begin taking/fulfilling orders for DIY again

Honestly I wouldnt retrofit it as the kit is really low quality.
There are loads of custom solutions you can go and probably for less money.

Give it a check to this post https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/resources/beats-audio-upgrade-project.102/

I upgraded my "beats" one with really low budget ( sounds far better and by no means its Hi End, just low budget)

You can find plenty of more options as you dont have any amp installed (I wanted to use the stock cabling and amp)

Good luck
Beats and Seat Sound are completely different systems ?, Seat Sound doesn't use an external amplifier & uses completely different speakers to Beats.
Yes beats is louder, but the sound isn't great on the MIB2 system. The beats system is much better with the MIB3 units/new amps.

Seat sound is amongst our best sellers & one of the products we built our business with. We're yet to have somebody unsatisfied with it, so I'm forced to disagree with you. Perhaps you expect too much out of a cost effective OE solution

Sorry If I touched your food mate but you should be honest with you clients ;)
I cannot agree with you! I fitted SSS myself, didn't use the kit, purchased the Sub, centre speaker, some high quality pure copper cable for the sub, some terminals and door badges, modified the wiring on the quadlock connector and I'm very pleased with the sound quality (my MIB2 High already had the sound parameters and Sub adjust slider), and I've got a spare wheel which I think is essential.
Also from what users have said after having SSS retrofitted they all seem to be pleased with it.

Very happy with the kit you fitted in my car, would recommend it to anyone ?

I had SS sound on my ex Cupra 280 so I know what Im talking about. Even a Ford Fiesta gets a better solution like (B&O) with even less money.
Your business selling so many kits doesnt mean that its good at all. Fact is Seat selling loads of Leons all over Europe, AKA loads of potentials customers.
But hey, customer is always right, innit?

"A billion flies can’t be wrong...” ;)

SSS is a clear improvement over the basic 8-speaker setup and that's enough. Considering the cost (parts cost less than 200€ 3 years ago) and the fact that it is an oem solution makes it a no brainer. Comparing it with other systems and set ups is irrelevant.
I reckon with 200euros you will not get any retrofit , maybe our fellow friend from Yorkshire have a solution for 200gbp (now GBP is pumping so who knows lol)
I agree with you, SS is better than the basic setup (well, any setup will be better than that garbage) but here we are not talking about if its worth to pay that extra when you get the car from the catalog but a retrofit or upgrade from your actual config

Got mine already with the SS system and it was reasonably good. What made it way better though was me sound deadening and anti rattle taping all the doors and metal panels.

I originally did it to make the car a bit more quiet and refined but actually the best and unexpected result of it all was the massive improvement in sound quality. So if you intend to go through all the knuckle wrecking fun of taking off door panels and the like do this whilst its all in bits you wont regret it

Do you know the serial numbers for the front door speakers in the Seat Soundsystem of the -16 leon, Thanks :)
