I recently took delivery of a new Altea FR, but only became aware of the free SatNav offer a couple of weeks prior to taking delivery, as the dealer had not informed me of this, and I only found out by looking at the seat website.
Anyway - I took delivery of the car without the satnav having been fitted, and was just given two boxes, one containing the satnav and the other containing the fitting kit, cowling, etc.
My problem is that my car does not appear to have the connector required to plug in the sat nav as part of the wiring loom (am told by my dealer that this is what the pre-installation is).
Bottom line is there doesn't appear to be any way to get the tomtom fitted and working as the connector from the loom does not exist, and to use the tomtom with the cigarette lighter power supply involves using the tomtom screen mount, which isn't the preferred option.
Has anyone else had this experience, or know of a workaround for connecting the tomtom?.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Am totally chuffed with the car otherwise - goes like a bat out of hell, and looks the dogs dangly bits!. Will try to get a couple of pics up once the weather allows (always raining in Scotland
