If my maths are right, If VX finish this weekend with less or equal to a 60 point gap then they still are within a chance of not loosing

But that means VX have to win 1-2 and get fastest lap in every race until the end of the season - and SEAT have to score none.

Given they started 90 poinits apart, and SEAT just got a 1-2 - it's unlikely that VX are gonna have a chance!

Drivers championship, though not impossible, has got to be an uphill struggle, considering the gap. But the teams championship could be achievable, they are fairly close.

Looks like the next race will be delayed coverage on MotorsTV, due to the Live DTM race. Race 2 runs at 1.40pm. To be shown on Motors from 2.25pm

Remember that Live WTCC is on Europsort from 2pm.

I can't work out what darren's 9 spot penalty was for?

Champ Reg 3.13.1.F but no idea what that is!

Holding up the pack behind the safety car perhaps ?

3.13.1.f. All competing cars, when notified of the Safety Car intervention (by the flag signals, SC boards,
or by any other means) will reduce speed and line up behind the Safety Car, no more than 5 car
lengths apart, and maintaining the same speed as the car ahead. Overtaking or overlapping of
any other competing car during a Safety Car intervention is forbidden. Overtaking of a Safety Car
is forbidden unless the particular competitor concerned is signalled to overtake the Safety Car by
the Observer in the Safety Car.

Definition of Bullshit

Darren Turner has lost his second place from this morning's first British Touring Car Championship race at Knockhill after being hit with a 20-second penalty for backing up the field under the safety car.

Turner, who finished second behind SEAT teammate Jason Plato, twice held back at safety car restarts. The stewards deemed his actions to be illegal, meaning that the former McLaren Autosport BRDC Award winner has been relegated to tenth place.

This promotes Matt Neal to second place, extending his advantage over Plato in the championship to 35 points.

In addition to his penalty, Turner must also carry second-place success ballast for race two despite starting from tenth on the grid.

Aye, Darren did well, he deserves an outright win this year, hopefully Brands will be kinder to SEAT, like it was in April. :)

JP is touch and go for Race 3 at the moment, working hard on the car.
