Service and remap 110tdi

Hi all,

I've owned my Toledo (110 ASV) for a few months now and it needs an inspection service (20k interval). I'm in the Edinburgh area and was wondering what sort of prices people are paying for this service and from where. So far I've had one quote for £120 (+ VAT) which seemed reasonable.

Also, I'm considering a remap but wondered about the effect on emissions which could affect the MOT. Does anyone have any experience with this or is it not a problem?

£120 is a good price and if your remap is done properly then it should not effect your emmisions.

I had an inspection service not so long ago and was £138 I think. Can be a lot more though, because they check the belt and tensioners etc, and if need replacing you could end up with a £300 service.

I'd highly reccomend Jack Walker Partnership out towards the airport. They're VW/Audi/Seat specialists, not sure on servicing costs as I've never had it done there (got free servicing from dealer when I bought the car) but always get them to do any work needed.

the remap if done properly wont effect the emmisions or MOT. they have to match boost with fuel, so know what they are doing. else it will lead to smoke which will fail at MOT time though.
