Hi all - looking for advice on car service intervals at a garage (I do no servicing as not got the tools)

I am covering 20K miles a year and historically always had my service at the 10K interval; book stamped and paid the going rates. However I have two services every year, a major and minor to a car that is doing motorway driving (Car has covered 105K miles and had a major service at 95K only 6 months ago.)

Anyway I was thinking of carrying out a service only once a year at 20K miles intervals. And during the 20K miles would get the oil changed to replace the minor service.
Is the minor service simply an oil change and a look around a car, would seem that approx £85 for an oil change and a specialist eye look around is costly.

I would opt for full service at 20K interval followed by oil change at 7K and 14K.

Any thoughts from anyone who practices anything similar? thanks in advance.

I cover 35k per year and stick to 10k intervals.
An oil and filter change for £85 sounds a little on the dear side unless as you say some checks are included too.

Minor Service costs me £85 (well did in August 2007)
just a thought is a minor service is not worth it, considering Im getting a Major service once a year which would pick up anything. A couple of oil changes in 12 months with a Major service would possibly satisfy.

Found this as the service schedule from another post:
10K Service
Oil and filter change
Visual checks on exhaust, coolant, brakes, g'box, battery, tyres, drive shaft ball joints, lights, wipers & airbags

Its the same for 20k, plus
Drain water from fuel filter (?)
Haldex clutch: replace oil
check gearbox oil and top up
replace pollen filter
check/correct headlight adjustment
check underbody protection
