Service light

When can I expect the service light to come on my FR TDi, car has just passed 17,000 mile, and first service was done at 8200miles.

should be soon i belive but saying that ive done over 10k since my last service and the light hasnt come on yet! obviously wasnt set right after the service just before i bought it!

the service indicator on the mk4 is not to be trusted, they just do what ever....

I've never seen the service light in mine, just put it straight in for it's service every 10K.

same here mate, and I ran over by a few hundred aswell

does the cupra not have one?

Does anyone know how the service light can be de-activated without taking the car to the dealer? Ive heard rumours that it can be reset with a code using the clock adjust/trip mileage reset stick.

yes it tells you this in the owners handbook but says this should only be done at the dealers! why they put it in i dont know lol
