Tooling is what determines capacity - which is why I have doubled up on the tooling.

My hose quality is high, and something I am not going to compromise upon. 5ply, decent solidity silicon materials used and weave construction.... I dont like or rate soft silicon hoses.. *cough* which some suppliers use. The alloy billet part is a key part of the function, and something a one piece silicon hose cannot emulate. (else I would have made mine all silicon, and I did'nt for a very good reason ;) from thorough testing on the dyno )

My hose is made for me by the same supplier who makes Forges hoses, so quality is assured.

Just thought i'd put my 2p worth in as although I don't come here I did hear there was a debate going on. I don't want to get involved with 'which is best' and 'you should buy this one' I just wanted to pop up an informative post as I'm sure you're all able to choose. The 1st SFS 80mm tip was test fitted to my TT, if you go on the SFS FaceBook page to around the 14th July the car is shown at AMD so the 1 piece silicone version has been around a long time, I have tested it for 3000 miles with no issues and I love the induction noise. the hose has wire re-inforcing it to make it stiffer and is the only one made in the UK, hence available in all colours.

there is insufficient information to qualify the sfs offering or comparison
It was inevitable the larger bore intake would be copied by someone in some manner or other..

So does that make the smaller Forge/SFS/Autobahn88 etc ones irrelevant as they are a copy of the Samco one which came out first? The SFS 1 piece silicone one was being made early July before B5 released a 1 piece one, granted the theory of the B5 mk1 one started its development but does it mean only K&N filters should used as the others stemmed from there?

Competition is a healthy thing for everyone, 'every little helps'

Bill must you try and put a downside on everything you don't sell lol.

I'm curious as to why your one is better than this one???

What's the advantages on having the metal joiner over the silicone???

Mine in V2 has been being made for quite some time... Not that its relevant.. Its not a race.

As I said it was inevitable others would get on the bandwagen as the well proven B5 tip has shown what can be achieved. I thought it would have been sooner. None of the others has been subjected to as much testing however, hence its very good reputation of gains.

The choice on my part to retain the billet portion to the TIP, which is why its the more expensive item to produce was through choice, as its flow characteristics are excellent and the TIP's are variable to the turbos they can mount to where some hybrids have larger intakes & bore, this is accommodated by the billet change. Something not possible in silicon alone. The transition internally on the billet is seamless, no steps no bumps to disturb flow.. and this is through design and choice. Replicating this detail in silicon is not possible.

At the end of the day, I can choose to sell what I want, and in this instance clearly the one I have developed is the one I will be selling.. Its extremely well proven, and will be the better engineered design for the reasons I have mentioned. I chose not to make the TIP in one piece silicon as I could not retain the seemless internal blend to turbo's intake in silicon alone.

Dont see this or comment on me being negative to something I dont sell.. I CHOOSE what I sell and am fussy about what I will sell.
:)

expect no gains

Speaking to the wrong person for that, I couldn't give a flying ****. LCR shifts I'm not gonna notice a diffrence to care. Just me, plenty people on here who care bout that tho

I think the sfs ones only have the colour advantage.. thats why im going with sfs, and thats why drka drka is i believe.. and there £130 + vat as i asked them yesturday.

What he said, they do funky colours you don't that's all.

For how much difference a seamless bit and no step etc is gonna make is it really worth it to gain the smallest bit of flow... if people were that worried about gainin a fraction of bhp they should have bought a quicker car to start with..
