Nothing wrong with some healthy competition.
Just thought i'd put my 2p worth in as although I don't come here I did hear there was a debate going on. I don't want to get involved with 'which is best' and 'you should buy this one' I just wanted to pop up an informative post as I'm sure you're all able to choose. The 1st SFS 80mm tip was test fitted to my TT, if you go on the SFS FaceBook page to around the 14th July the car is shown at AMD so the 1 piece silicone version has been around a long time, I have tested it for 3000 miles with no issues and I love the induction noise. the hose has wire re-inforcing it to make it stiffer and is the only one made in the UK, hence available in all colours.
there is insufficient information to qualify the sfs offering or comparison
It was inevitable the larger bore intake would be copied by someone in some manner or other..

sfs use 3 ply silicone hoses compared to bills 5 ply but would 3 ply not be more than adequate ?
So does that make the smaller Forge/SFS/Autobahn88 etc ones irrelevant as they are a copy of the Samco one which came out first? The SFS 1 piece silicone one was being made early July before B5 released a 1 piece one, granted the theory of the B5 mk1 one started its development but does it mean only K&N filters should used as the others stemmed from there?
Competition is a healthy thing for everyone, 'every little helps'
expect no gains
I think the sfs ones only have the colour advantage.. thats why im going with sfs, and thats why drka drka is i believe.. and there £130 + vat as i asked them yesturday.
So the billet end is just purely kept for future turbo upgrades where as the silicone only one will have to be replaced?
The transition internally on the billet is seamless, no steps no bumps to disturb flow
