Sfs performance 3" Tip

Badger 5 tip & sfs tip are gunna make similar gains apart from 0.5/1bhp differences! IMO I couldn't give a monkeys left bollock about minor 1bhp gains! End of the day there both 3 tips & sfs do the better deal at a brilliant price! All this talk of copying is childish. You all should be happy that a cheaper similar alliternative has arrived! Soon as I heard about the sfs tip
On here I was straight on the phone with my card details ready as it's such a good
Price! The tip itself with the %25 and no posting is just £95!!!! I've had a semi all day since I've ordered it :)

Double post there mate lol.

I don't think anyone is making money out of it buddy, just a good old debate on which is better value. Bill seems more than happy with the sales of his product and seems very confident it's the better part. I think the differences between the 2 will be very marginal and it'll come down to price and colour options which is where the sfs item stands out.

Relative gains remain unproven..........

Lest folks forget that aspect.

I can easily mod my tools to make the turbo transition in silicon and drop the billet aspect, BUT, it will make it an inferior product in performance terms hence me choosing not to do this from the outset. I wanted the best solution, not the Cheapest, which is I guess where my business practice differs from others desperate to get into the market I created.

Facts will prove this, not idle banter.

I have not seen facts either way from any information published so far

I don't recall many people complaining about the copying aspect, even Bill. The discussion has mainly been around unsustantiated claims and unethical sales techniques.

There both 3 tips & are going to have similar results. Only difference is SFS offer the 3 at a more affordable price & at these times price to most people is the major factor. Ive always wanted one of your 3's, but didnt wanna pay your price.

I don't think this TIP will take that much custom away from Bill. As if you want a B5 TIP you'll still buy one regardles of the cost. If you have seen one in the flesh the quality of the engineering speaks for it's self. Has there been any negative feed back from a B5 TIP? There are alot of happy customers out there me being one of them. There is also alot of evidence to support Bills TIP.
However I'm all for an open Market and free choice. I still know where I'd put my hard earned cash.

Theres a bit of talk about the sfs tip being the inferior product. Has anyone on here actually seen there parts in real life???

kind of wondered the same thing , i'm not saying either product is better or worse but comments about which is better or worse is just silly unless you your self have used both ,

Afaik the sfs item is 4 ply with wire strengthening so it can't be that inferior lol.

I was all set on buying one from B5 but I have to admit that when I heard about the sfs item and there price it was kinda a no brainer for me.

I did not comment on the SFS TIP because I like you don't know what it's like. All I commented on was how good Bills is.
Will be interesting to see the difference. The wider range of colour and availability is a plus for SFS.
Out of interest has anyone seen the induction set up B5 know has on sale? May be worth a look before you purchase the SFS one.

kind of in the same boat really , i do feel a bit of loyalty towards bill , cause i've bought a few things from him and diagnosed my car correctly first time in under a hour when other tuners couldn't (won't name tuners) but the fact that sfs do it at £125 delivered in green :) i must admit sways me but is that taken the p**s to fit sfs tip and bringing t to bill to get revo stage 2 mapping (when i get other supporting mods on the car ) ?

I suspect the sfs tip is of perfectly acceptable quality for its purpose and so will the various (even cheaper) copies that appear on ebay over time. This is where Bill's admirable engineering principles fall down. If the cheaper alternatives perform as well or very close then the b5 tip will be blown out of the water. This is why large manufacturers give accountants a say on design decisions

I have no comment to make on the quality of either, I'm sure they're lovely...

I do however, like many, feel that the way awesome have gone about the description on their website is inappopriate and almost me feel let down by the company.

No, if a tuner starts picking and choosing cars based on what mods are fitted then they wouldn't get far at all.

I don't think Bill would ever look down on a customer because he has different components fitted to his car. I don't know the man but from what I've read he will go out of his way to help you regardless of car modifications.

Seen the kit.... but £262.8 for an induction setup is way above my price range.

Yes I agree but where is the evidence base?

Like anything else, the evidence will come from customer feedback. You're never going to get real evidence on something like this as its not worth the expense of performing proper scientific tests. We may never know which one flows best but does it matter? We know bill's is a big improvement over stock and I suspect in time we will find out whether the sfs one is too.
