seriously, keep the lcr, the mk4 r32 is not as quick as you think, i had a little encounter with one the other day (on private road of course lol) and from 30mph till about 90mph he couldnt pull away from me and i couldnt gain on him, and this is in my diesel lol, believe it or not ;)

Keep the LCR, go stage 2 ;)

^^ fair play, suppose the torque helps quite a bit!

My mates got an R32, not that quick, I find it a bit boring than the kick the LCR gives you. Don't swap, I think you'd regret it when the novelty of a new car wears off.

I think the cupra r is the best all round package of the mk4 vag range. The interior isnt as good as the R32 but it isnt bad.
Like for like its got much better brakes as standard, better mpg, better weight distribution, more tuning potential, looks better and costs less to buy.

couldnt have said it better myself!!! I debated this long and hard before I bought my LCR mate, and now Id never look back. coming from a history of mk4 golfs the only one i needed was the R32 to complete ths set. I had the 1.8T, 1.8T anni and the 1.9TDI Anni. The R32 was the GOAL! but after buying my LCR and finding out the tuning potential, AND after seeing one on the RR at p-torque last month, im 100% happy i didnt buy one in the end.

Personally, I would have an R32, I find it a much nicer car than the LCR not that I don't like the LCR but at the same time I like how the Golf just cruises around everywhere when I am in the LCR its fun but not quite the same comfort as the R32

Keep the LCR as it looks a lot nicer IMO. It don't think the MKIV Golf's have aged as well as the MK1 Leon.

The LCR will also be quicker than the R32. If you can afford to get the R32 Supercharged then the fun begins.

I still love the MK1 Leon and wished I had bought one years ago.

As an exVAG salesman i had a few of these as company cars, yes its not true all wheel drive but it grips better than front wheel drive. They are very heavy and thirsty. Great car but a little dated and expensive to run. I could have bought one when i bought mine but i didn't even consider it! Nuff said!!

Never had any trouble with an r32 old and new. Then again they dont have 380lb/ft :)

Seriously though they are lovely cars and very well specced. For comfort and cruising the r32 is the better car. For feel and thrill of the spirited drive then the Leon Cupra R will walk all over the r32. Once you start modding the LCR then its a simple choice :)

if u want a fast V6 Id go with the Nissan 350Z or the new one 370Z. Go look on youtube or streetfire.net for a race between an R32 and S3 with your current engine.
