i'm already thinking about 4 years ahead! if i decide to go for a mk2 leon fr i'll be purchasing 2007, selling 2010. by that time, things we still consider options now will be a lot more common and, in some of not most cases, may even be fitted as standard on many cars.

therefore, even though i'm highly unlikely to use them, should i be opting for any of these when i spec my car, so as not to put off prospective buyers when i sell it a few years from now:

- bluetooth comms pack
- iPod connection
- USB connection

I would say the Ipod is the most preferred 'option' now, but maybe USB in the future as the apple stranglehold goes (but then ipod's won't work with USB, but USB mem sticks are dirt cheap now)

BT I'd say go with, people like that sort of thing, and especially now it's 'really' illegal to not use hands free

Definately bluetooth. Even if you don't use the bluetooth function, your dash display is better.

iPod and USB etc can be fitted later, so go with whatever you would want.. Does the FR have an aux in?

Bluetooth, convienience pack (auto lights, wipers and dimming rear view mirror) and Xenons/adaptive lighting are all worth while options :)

Xenon is a must, as is BT. iPod's will still be big in the future, but possibly (hopefully) less so than they are now, but it's still an option that will attract attention.

At the end of the day, the more options the merrier. They might not add value to the car, but a fully stacked car Vs a standard one will always be easier to sell.

Switchable front passenger airbag (no cost option) would be useful for someone wanting to carry their baby in the front.
