As title says.
Clutch has been 'a little strange' for a few months. Started out with a bit of a judder now and again in low gears when first accellerating, but then that went away.
Since then, again every now and then (probably every other day) I can't get it back into gear - at the same time, the clutch pedal stays half depressed. If I just hook it back up by putting my foot under it, it goes back into gear no problems and I carry on my drive as normal.
ANYway - I probably should've got this checked out earlier and I might have killed my DMF. Basically it rattles around every few seconds at idle. There seems to be a bit of a wobble throughout the car at the same time as the rattle. Green Flag (whilst attending for a non-starting issue) told me it was the DMF
I've heard a couple of people recommend the SMF conversion. Would you? I'm looking at the Euro Car Parts conversion kit which includes a new SMF itself. Somebody I know with an account can get it for £125 plus VAT (50% discount I believe). Seems bloody cheap!
I plan on keeping the car for a few more years yet so I don't just want something to fill a gap. It needs to last. BEAR IN MIND IT'S BEEN RE-MAPPED TO 150BHP. Although I rarely boot it, if ever. It's only really on overtakes that I use the power. Most of the miles are just humdrum to and from work. I do about 12K a year.
Any thoughts would be really appreciated (prefer you to stick just to this topic though
Cheers
