I think he has an EVOMS..may be wrong. to get the eingine cover like Hubbly's you have to do some cutting of the air box.
How much lighter? Also are you mounting it in the same place in the engine bay or perhaps mounting it in the boot area to distribute weight... not that there's much point if the battery is light anyway...
not bad... hopefully 12kg reduction will shave 0.019 off your quarter mile time
Well if it doesnt, the 2 piece discs I have coming at 5kg of unsprung weight per side at the front, 12kg of lighter wheels, removal of a/c rad at 3kg (and increased cold air on the intercooler) and installation of WMI hopefully will

comes in 3 parts.. the numbers are on the forum somewhere. But yeah. Easy to fit.
Got hold of a gti edition 30 engine cover:
Spent a long time choping off bits to get it to fit with the intake.
Sanded down the cover, then primed, then sprayed in satin black paint.
Centre section carbon wrapped.
Still need to do the centre badge and maybe getting some red pin striping in places.
But here it is for now...

Got my battery cover top to do and some other bits like washer bottle and coolant.

Nah, you're fine with just normal car paint. You'll need a plastic primer and the cans from halford will do the job. mines been flexed to get in on and off and no distortion or cracking...
