sick lcr

my lcr is very poorly steaming from exhaust and loosing water did a sniff test on it and sure enough the head gasket has gone has anyone else had this sort of trouble.....................

Thats bad luck mate - was there any signs of it going, did you manage to catch it quick?

no signs other than the steam and loss of water hope i caught it in time it didn't over heat which was a bonus just out of warrenty though

Bummer always the bloody way isnt it - I often think the sole purpose of a warranty is for that to happen

if its just out i'd be kicking and screaming at seat uk!, although they might blame all your mod's as dealers do try when it means spending there money.

the saga continues after relieving me of £272 quid the give me the car back all done i drive home to find i have the same trouble as when it went in so goes back to dealer next day to get told it needs anew head good news is as they gave car back to me all done supposedly i dont have to pay for a head they do.. Only bummer is they couldn't do it till this coming friday so probably will have to wait till next week to get it back......................

At least it's getting sorted I guess. And it's good of the garage to stand by their work and fix the problem they should have done in the first place! Many places would have charged you twice for their failing to do the job properly.
