side light problem

anyone had a problem with there side lights when i turn mine on the headlightcomes on dim but when i turn the headlights on it goes normal ive looked at all fuses etc.. can anyone help??

if its what i think it is then its ment to do that as it has a dim circut built into it

yes there is a big yelow resistor in the offside wing to do this, you can just unplug it if you don't want it to do it. Some mk2's do this and others don't ie our Ibiza does but the Vario doesn't have it fitted.

Ive noticed mine is intermittant then with i cleaned connectors worked but now break light is same and keeps getting me pulled

Try removing the rear bulb holders and cleaning all the connections on them. I was having issues with my reverse/brake/indicator lights and that did the trick.
