slight misfire

Hi all. My cupra 180 is getting a slight misfire from idle till about 2k then sometimes drops power then it's off again....
Plugs???
Coils???
Summit else???

Hi there! Ive recently had this problem..mine turned out to be a combination of coil pack failure, vacuum leaks and engine breather clogged!
Have a look at you Vacuum lines, the smallest crack or perished line will cause all sorts of issues as I have found out! Failing that, get your vehicle scanned for fault codes bud! Is your motor down on power?

no power loss

Hello mate thanks for the info. The car seems to ok. There was a slight power loss but put that down to the TCS when pulling away fast. Button off goes better.
I'm gonna pull it apart tomorrow and have a proper look.

Yeah new plugs, coil packs and vacuum pipes I reckon. Got to get a gearbox aswell.

Had a bit of luck this afternoon, found an ERR box from a local scrappy £250 always weary of scrappy cos u never know if it's any good. I asked about mileage he said the car was burnt out.
What's reckon take a risk?
With my job I've not got the time to fit it myself but to have it fitted for £150 I couldn't say no...

Id be weary but if it was me and my money id take a gamble!
Just check the part numbers match if there are any, dont wanna put the wrong box in!! Replace the drive shaft seals while you are at it and just make sure you put the right oil in bud ! Its always gunna be a gamble bud!

id say a 75w-90 synthetic gear oil grade! don't get cheap stuff its not worth it
