slight play in steering rack

Hi,
My car recently had its' MOT and everything was fine apart from they gave me an advisory on my steering rack,saying quote,"Slight play in N/S of steering rack".When I drive along and go over bumps or pot holes you can hear a vague knocking as if something is a bit loose.

I was just wondering what part it could be within my steering rack and how much it would roughly cost.

Any info would br greatly appreciated

Is it the actual rack or just the arm? I had play in both mine and replacing the arms sorted it....much cheaper than replacing the rack to.

What's it like replacing the arms in terms of cost/time adam?

Garage done mine along with a load of other stuff so I'm not really sure.

Obviously you need tracking done again as well.
