Slightly Different Headunit Question!!!???

Morning!

i have just spent about a week searching for an answer but to no avail!

basicaly im installing a headunit in the centre console under the dash / behind the ashtray and would like to make it look as OEM as poss, im thinking fiberglassing it in is the easiest way to go but any ideas what i could cover it in once done???

hey i thought of the 'ash tray' hea unit myself but after rining alpine they tod me they do not sell the cd changer commandor anymore so i made it the way shown in the link above easy to do would be much easier to use expanding foam or sumit like that i recon

the look in the link is what i want but that looks obvious! any ideas of somthing that i could cover it in too make it look more origional!!??

some sort of viynl maybe or trim the whole dash the same might not be original but will be unique lol

Ive done mine, cut the cubby hole bit to fit the headunit. Looks a bit messy, but it sits there ok and works fine for me. And its as OEM as possible because i didnt want pikeys seeing it in the top vents etc and making it really obvious.

Im on my phone now but ill find one later. Its primitive but works. When im feeling productive ill give it a go in fibreglass maybe, but keeping it very oem.

Was thinking of going alcantara but its 20.00 per meter!!! Ouch!

ouch id rather not get bent over and just use sumit like suade or a fake alcantara
