Smell when driving hard?

Guy's I have a burning smell which has happen about twice now when pushing the my LCR hard. Has annbody got any ideas?

Running Revo Stage 1, Bailey DV, Green Cotton.

Could be clutch or brakes.

It's when your accelerating hard, only happens for a 5 seconds then goes. Normally when I pushed it high in the rev range. I was thinking it could possible be a coil pack? The car only done 15,000 miles on 55 plate.

When was the oil last changed ???

It's due a service this month.

How many miles? Is it an oily smell? Could be the turbo outlet hose, they've been know to crack/split (some pics if you search).

Car done 15,000 miles and only 3000 miles since last service (jan 08).

I've heard coil packs can smell when on the way out?

It wouldn't be the colipacks - you do get an eggy smell when one goes, but you're more likely to notice that it would be running like a dog!

Had a go this morning 40 to mph in fifth this morning and then the smell. It's just like a hot smell. Check the turbo outlet pipes and no sign of any split. The smell there, then goes within a few seconds only does when pushing hard in fifth to high revs.
