smoke after decat

since ive decatted my exhaust cars been chucking out white smoke at idle it kind of comes and goes so isnt constant I can also smell slight oil I know these are not good signs but why did this start to happen after the decat was fitted ,, any thoughts on this ??

Mine does the same sometimes. Maybe your not use to seeing any smoke with the cat on. The smoke will probably some unburnt fuel? Hopefully some1 can correct. Well if it was ur turbo ther would be blue smoke. So it wont be that

White smoke will be just condensation in the engine burning off.....

Maybe the CAT holds onto the water thats why you didn't see it before. When was the last time you gave it an Italian style tune-up?

thanks for the replies I havent really driven it much since the decat was fitted as I was quite concerned about the smoke it doesnt smoke when revved hard only when idle really doesnt over heat or nothing ,, by italian tune up what do u mean ?

by italian tune up do you mean drive it like a ferrari lol ,, well I did give it some on way home from the garage didnt really help ..

Think it's normal tbh car adapts slightly bur will always smoke bait with a decat it's due to the water ect that's what I've herd through the grape vine

ok man i as worried thought it wor the stem seals or somthing car drives spot on and even better now that ive chenged the plugs gonna clay bar it and polish it then put some pics up on my ride page might take a pic with the smoke comming out make it look like a horror movie lol

pyro you got 18 rs6z ? are they made in italy and are they et35 ? just i got some on mine but for some reason I cant go too low or the tyre will rub although they suppose to be et35

yeah its normal for a bit of white smoke, mainly build up of condensation looks bad though

Mine does the same with the cat in i've always presummed it's just condensation.

looks quite bad Ive had a few leons none have done this im gonna put it down to having a decat for now as thats the only difference .

could this be cas of tesco fuel as i was running low and only had a fiver in my pocket after paying for fitting bushes so topped up using 95 ron tesco, will fill use super tommorow and see if that changes anything.

lol got some 10mm universal spacers alongside longer bolts on the way so thats protection from any kind of rubbing

yeah as people say its normal.. got a vid of mine on a rolling road smoking when going slow but soon clears

there are 100 of threads about white smoke coming from exhaust its very common you probably just never noticed before tbh
