Smokey exhaust

Hi all

New to the forum having recently purchased a 2017 approved used leon fr ecotsi.

I've had it a little over a week and noticed that there seems to be a constant visible emission (smoke, steam?) from the exhaust when under throttle. Doesn't seem to matter if the car is cold or hot, it continued to do this after a 2 and half hour journey.

It doesn't appear to have lost any coolant, the smoke looks fairly white and smells quite petroly.

Just wondered if anyone else experiences this, is it normal for these cars/engines or is it something I should be talking to the dealer about?

Loving the car aside from this!

Thanks
Jim

My petrol sometimes emits a light snoke, but also doesn’t loose coolant / have head gasket associated signs. Also passes emissions tests ok.
I don’t know if it’s more noticeable as I have an fr the exhaust is ‘on show’ where a lot of cars have them hidden under the bumper now?

I picked up a cupra 280 last week and noticed the same thing, but typically only when giving it 'the beans' on the way back home which was a long run. I don't notice it whilst out and about doing local mileage but i've not really had it long enough to to identify any fluid drops etc.

I'm taking it for my VW guru to look at on Tuesday and should hopefully know a bit more then, so i'll post back with our findings!
