smoothed airbox

anybody got any pics of a smoothed out airbox on a leon cupra so i can see what i,m supposed to be doing

I should mention, this is for the Ibiza.. but the theory is the same. As long as you increase air-flow to the box while minimising heat-soak, you've achieved the goals.

Iv just finnisned doing mine.

It took an afternoon to do, i used a power drill with sandpaper wheel in it.
I have also waxed the inside to make it smoother, dont know if it will do anything but seem a good idea at the time


Im hopeing to fit it tomorrow morning if its not raining.

Good luck mate.

Make sure you put some cloth or something similer between your work bench and the airbox or it might get scratched, mine did

Got my airbox in this morning

Its not as loud as i was expecting, you can now hear the turbo spining up but the spliter dv does'nt seem any louder.
More importent though the power delivery is so much better, turbo is boosting stroner and longer than ever before.

I also got the 3" feed pipe down the side of the battrey with no problems.

The box is also running a pipercross high flow filter.

finished it with a green cotton air filter very happy with the results just seems to pull much cleaner and stronger well worth the effort
