so many problems :(

Hi, was wondering if anyone can help with a few problems that ive noticed, they all seem to come at once!

- When I bought the car the headunit was missing the power button and not wired in, so I bought a extender cable and connected my standard Alana headunit from my old mk4 1.2 as I knew the code, the headunit now works but my remote locking from the key has stopped working as soon as I got the radio working!? Any ideas what this could be?

- My antifreeze seems to be vanishing over a few days 3-4 days. I first noticed this when my heaters stopped blowing out warm air. The only sign of a leak I can find is where the two halves to the expansion tank meet when I unscrew the cap and the pressure builds up it leaks from here but a friend said this is normal? car is a pd130 sport

and finally!...

- My passenger side rear footwell is completely soaked all of a sudden, I have gone over the door seal but it all looks bone dry and cant see any wear at all.



Any help would be very appreciated

not sure about the door problem, but i'd say the other 2 problems are the same problem

Passenger side foot well could be the pollen filter under the glove box.

Thanks for the replies I checked the other thread but couldn't see any leaks where mentioned and the leak is passenger side rear footwell, the front is dry!?

Someone suggested the heater matrix or the rubber bungs under the carpet

I'd put a sheet of card underneath the car overnight and see if you have any obvious signs of dripping then next day, see if it's leaking or using coolant. Mine had a small radiator leak a few years ago, bobbed in some radweld and has been fine since.

Radio/remote locking is now fixed !

Time to get the carpets up and find this leak!
