Hi All,

My LCR brake pedel and brakes have gone a bit soft and spongy recently and the brakes on my 06 Gold TDI are 10x better at the moment.

The car had new discs and pads all round at the begining of last year and has done about 4000 miles on them.

Any ideas or anything that I should be checking???

Cheers
Chris

If they've been cooked, do they need replacing again, what are the signs of cooked discs?

DS2500 pads and std Brembo discs from Seat. Nope no stick really, not any more than spirited driving. Hardley any lip on the discs and loads of pad left.

Fluid change was done at the same time as the pads and discs and I put in some high temp fluid as recommended to be at the time by useres here. Can't remember what it was though.

Maybe it is just me I don't know. Am I so used to the brakes on the Golf TDI, which are very very good and 30K miles in a year so far and the just feel better than the LCR's.

If I had the money I'd change my LC brakes to a nice Tarox set-up as I think my breaks are crap.

Just need to come up with a better money earning idea.

I was also considering getting my brake fluid change

Don't know to be honest, would prob be worth doing it anyway, just to be sure??

I'm just wondering if the pads or disks are glazed a bit?? It's just a thought??
