need to make sure the 17 will go over the brembos though, that was why the LCR had 18's...

I'd say buy a mk1 Audi s3 I wud say it's slighty softer dan a Cupra n have slighty higher profile Reyes as standard , some ppl on here are being a bit harsh I'd say, koni do sum special adjustable dampers which I'm told by them it will soften the ride automatically over uneven roads n firm up over smoothed ones but dnt quote me on that that's wat they say

Yea,thought Koni FSD dampers were an improvement over standard in ride quality, not as crashy?

I asked months ago if there was such a thing as Low and comfortable and was met with the standard forum junkie responce of No It cant be done, Lower is always harder ect ect

long story short i did my homework and am now running very comfortably 50mm lower on cheepy Jamex coilover struts i got 2'nd hand but in mint condition, machined the spring platforms to take 2.25"springs and am using 10.5" free length 170lb/in springs

I couldn't be happier, if it was a track car i'd go stiffer but for a daily drive with theses **** roads its sot on, the stiffer dampers stop the ride being wollowy and the lower sping rate absorbs bumps rather than crash off them, FYI LCR standard sringrate is aroun 160lb/in

I was previously running oem LCR springs and shocks and found them very crashy especialy on square edged bumps

On the majority of British roads, harder is far from better, its worse. If you are too stiff you skip about the road on a bumpy road and are way slower than a softer set up car and a damn sight more uncomfortable.
OP you can get custom springs made up but check they fall within the tolerences of the dampers or they will be mismatched.

There are lots of options open to you.
The OEM new LCR crashed a bit through pot holes but on.the whole it wasn't too bad.
There is no difference in any of the MK4 platform top mounts.
As suggest new top mounts and bushes throughout the car, also new shocks of some sort will improve things.
Also MK1 S3 OEM wheels fit over the Brembo calipers and there 17".
Don't.give up just freshen things up and you'll be happy.
As most have displayed its not the preferred route on here but nowt wrong with it.
Gimme a shout if I can help more.

Are Jamex coilovers comfortable really? I been lookin at temporary solution to get new suspension cause front the rear suspensions are leakin but I wanted spax or Koni adjustable dampers n n fix 40/40 springs

i highly doubt Jamex coilovers are comfortable out the box as the springs they came with were around 400lb/in, im only using them as a temporary option tilli can afford better

Works the other way too, to soft and you loose traction on bumpy roads.

You drive to limitations of your car anyway so I cant see that it matters.

I'm in the same boat just want someting to see wat drop will look the best till I can get someting better next year

Eventually.....as the car will lean more but not even close to how much traction you lose when the suspension is too hard as you go airborne which means zero traction.I am speaking form experience.Too hard suspension is downright dangrous on some roads, you cannot carry anywhere near the same speed through bends as you would on a standard setup.
I have Tein coilovers on my GTiR and was looking at getting the shocks revalved and the springs changed to match as it was ridiculously hard.In the end I managed to soften it down by playing with the ride height which adjusted the preload on springs and when I was a bit happier with it I got it corner weighted.

Its not the leaning thats the problem....every time the suspension pushes the car up, its pushing down less. less downforce above the wheel, less grip.
the more uneven the surface the greater the effect.

Too stiff/too soft both will get you into the nearest ditch

Extremes of anything is bad, trying to get across that coilovers aren't a magc handling mod thats suitable for everyone and all roads.
