Depends what you can afford I guess, I don't really have the budget to spend on swapping tyres for the different seasons so I found one that seemed to be a good all rounder, the Eagle F1's seem to have good grip in the dry but also very good in the wet, not sure about snow/ice but when that time comes most driving is very cautious and slow anyway.
If I had the money to do so I'd probably buy winter tyres as they are obviously designed to work in low temperatures so must have an edge over your standard tyres.
