Yeah, if I could afford a load of cleaning stuff, I probably would too! My dad's friend may be able to polish it up for me but I may save up and get it done in the next 6 months.

I am pretty crap with car mechanics so don't actually know how to check myself! hah. I may just do it out of peace of mind anyway, for what it costs.

It's really easy to check mate, I am far from a mechanic but even for me it was simple.

There are plenty of guides knocking around on here which explain how to do it.

Little bit of a story so I thought I'd update here

About a week back a fellow member (big eck, I'm sure he won't mind being named ;)) alerted me to a Revo ceramic intake for sale by a someone on here, I've been on the lookout for one of these things for ages as I've heard so many good reviews but they do attract a high price tag and plenty of interest when they come on to the market so they don't hang about.

Anyway I mentioned it to the wife to run the financials past her (it's a fairly expensive item so it's the courteous thing to do lol) at which point we decided that it's still a bit pricey and we ought to wait until we have a little more disposable to cover it.

A bit disappointed I decided to ask the guy a few things about it just on the off chance I could convince her lol but literally within the hour I was told it had already been sold :(

A bit gutted but unsurprised that it had been snapped up so quickly as they are in pretty high demand I just looked at it that my mind had been made up for me lol.

Fast forward to today (my birthday :)) and I wake up and get lots of lovely cards and gifts from all my nearest and dearest, plus a box from the wife of the size that in my mind could only contain a mail order Russian bride (this day is about to get very interesting :cheeky:), anyway I open it to find that the reason that the intake I was looking had been sold was because she had indeed bought for me on the sly!!!

I knew she was a keeper from the start but something like that just re-iterates the fact lol.

It was absolutely the last thing I expected and she did an amazing job of throwing me off the scent big time, to say I'm quite happy is a bit of an understatement lol

What a nice thing to do. Definitely 'the one' but the important question is what have you planned for her Birthday :)

Hope you've had a good Birthday :)

Decided to get the Revo fitted today and went out for a quick 5 minute run, sounds really nice and I'm really happy with it, the missus really has played a blinder :D

Ceramic coated Revo intake

I'm keen to hear what it's like from the outside too, think I might get the wife to do a drive by lol

Next step is to look at getting a spare engine cover and hack it so I can cover the engine and tidy things up a bit.

Then it will be on with the Sportlines when the weather hopefully gets it's act together and stops raining.

Very nice :) these induction kits are seriously loud. Lots of turbo flutter.

It does give a nice noise when you open the taps, if I'm being totally honest I expected it to be a little louder from what I've read but I'm glad it isn't, I think it's bang on.

Come on mate, need a better review than that!!!

Does it feel faster??? Do the revs pick up quicker?

Haha sorry dude, I've literally only driven it for about 5 minutes, I'll give more feedback when I've had chance to do a few miles, I should get a good idea tomorrow on a run to work so I'll update with my findings here :)

Initial thoughts are that I haven't really noticed any difference other than the noise and I'm trying to be honest and not give in to the placebo effect by looking for things that aren't there, tomorrow will give me a better idea.

Nice Crafoo. Its a nice piece of kit. I cant say myself that its any faster or had better throttle response. My car is still stock though. Think you only realy benefit from it with a mapped car.

Thanks mate, I don't know how much difference it will make but it has to be much better than the standard equipment either way, and it looks and sounds so much better ;)

On a stock setup i found my evoms induction didnt add much, not that i could feel anyway. When i fitted the 3" dp and decat its transfomed my car. Im sure the evoms and exhaust are working perfectly together. Still running a stock map.
The evoms is very loud and overpowering the radio at times lol.

Talking about flow, have you seen how restrictive the cupra catback is, not sure if the lcr is similar in its stock form?
