Thanks for the input, its a new piece of sound deadening as the old one was really sagging quite badly.
I will get the fix, using the foam strips that SEAT has now come up with as detailed in the link posted in this thread above.

Well I have mine removed to, but i doubt anyone is to fussed about the insulation, it's what the water drops on that's the problem. . .

I'm thinking of doing the same - stops it altogether then.
With the insulation removed the water will drop closer to the firewall and not cause the coil corrosion issue.
It may have worked for you , but not every car is built the same , only some cars suffer from the rusty coil pack issues.
