When you hold them down they will fit, but if you notice in this pic, it doesn't cover the parts where the existing cap turns back in on itself.

I would imagine that's because it would be difficult to get it on if it did, but even so, it's one of the most visible parts when you're looking from the inside and it would really bother me

I have emailed him and asked for a refund and he has replied:
Hi Andy

All you have to do to make them fit nice and tight & give you a great fit is pour some hot water on them then match up to you mirror and hold in please for couple of minutes as they cool down will fit perfect to your car mirrors.

If you not sure about take to professional body shop and they will fit them in 20mins for you they look awesome when finished.

Regards Paul
My name isn't Andy, and I haven't asked for fitting instructions, I have asked to invoke his returns procedure :D Oh well

He's agreed to the refund now. I've never requested a refund from an eBay sale before so I'm a bit unsure of the correct method, but he wants the item back before he refunds the item. I can understand his position, but it seems that I'm the one that is always at risk, ie I have to give him the money before he sends the item, and then I have to return the item before he refunds the money. All in all it means that I'm the one who is always taking the risk, and that doesn't seem right.

It's good that he'll accept the refund though. I'm really quite gutted... maybe I'll go back to my earlier plan and replace the mirrors with teardrops :(

You will need to return the item for a refund and it must be recorded and insured.

I've unfortunatly had to do this a number of times as I buy a lot from Ebay.

Yeah its easier if you can sort it out with the seller without taking it to a paypal claim.

If you did have to claim through paypal then it would take a while and you would need proof you had returned the item [must be signed for as proof of posting is not proof they recieved it] They will always side with the buyer if you do this.

It's disappointing because he didn't have photos that showed that part of the cover, so it appeared better than it is. Hopefully I'll find a proper CF replacement mirror cover soon, or see if there's a tear-drop version anywhere and maybe replace the mirrors with tear-drop versions instead

Could've told you that! I was going to get one myself but not at that price. That doesn't even include the airbag! Try some breakers on eBay, find someone who is breaking an LCR225 and see if they have the wheel. It may not be perfect, but I'm sure it'll be fine for the money :D
