What did you use in your DIY polishing attempt? Might give it a go this week...

A black and decker mouse!!

I've also got a proper polishing kit there, but its a little small, think i'll be getting a drill attachment!

It looks ok, just sanded it a little, and the polished it with autosol, and then buffed it. Needs a finer sand paper, but i aint got to all the sections, so its looking a little rough at the mo. I may do some more later today.

Ive gotten bored/pissed off with the cupra so its either being put back to standard and sold or as one piece if I can get the cash for it.

Nah, decided to buy a evo 6 instead. **** pissing about, I get in the cupra in the morning wondering what the **** is gunno break or stop working.

Must admit I feel the same, sort of (though I have had around 3-4months happy motoring, except for the suspension clunking and what sounds like a rear wheel bearing). Mines staying as it is for a bit until I replace it. Might go JAP but it's looking like a BMW may tempt me before the summer of next year

have to say the only thing that annoys me bout the car is keeping it clean lol black is the worst colour to keep clean specially wid white wheels! other than that im happy, o and the god dam mafs!!

do have to say iv bin in a few jap cars that really impressed me! 3.0 litre supra and 3.0 turbo supra and my mates dc5 integra! wot a a bunch of cars to scare the pants off u lol

decided this week i dont really fancy jap or M power anymore...i want an exige bad!

fancy an S2 but id take an S1, seems to be a misconception that cos its got a K series its bad but iv read that this couldnt be further from the truth...and we've had a rover 25 with a powerfull K series in the family before and yeah the head gasket went...but it was quicker than my ibiza standard!

still id rather a toyota engined S2 but next year year or 2 will tell.

i aint had owt go wrong with my ibiza for a while its doing me well but im so skint that im thinking outloud all the time

been applying for random **** jobs everywhere so hopefully pick something up soon

doubt il actually get rid of the ibiza for ages! still waiting to get my bloody fmic! so matt if u o sell and u fancy being kind and swapping intercoolers and letting me pay u cash when i can then swing my way

I'd look into getting some replacement coil packs. Mine seem to be dropping like flies since I reached 50k

AFAIK my car has never had a coil pack changed (maybe as one of the last released it came with the tougher coilpack part?) ..and in the 11k iv done its always had the one maf

yet iv bust a cv joint, bottom rad hose, secondary air inj leak, smashed up secondary air inj pump (from all the lowness at one time), funny start up problems which changed after swapping vac hoses, random battery problem caused by a bad connection, new clutch and a wet ecu

1 x cv joint
1 x N75

Ho hum. L is the latest revision. You can find it on the plug part of the coilpack. Easy to check.

Only things really gone wrong with mine, has been the water pump failing, the MAF, and any mods i try to do!

Mines just ****, its actaully depressing me now thinking about how **** it is.

Im now gunno go listen to some emo ****, slash my wrists and write some poetry about how my old man used to slip me a finger when i was a kid
