Spring chamfer dude. I had a look with wheels off other day. Def a horrible looking edge to the lower of the spring sitting in the cup. Didnt take them off to take a look at the top of the spring though.

dono y but the last couple of days iv bin thinking of selling my cupra, dono y just have not the car or the money jst a change, a thing is i jst think that i seem to wash it all the time, which gets to me coz it just gets dirty again straight away!! was thinking of selling up geting a old 106 derv and gettin a mk1 golf and going mental! i really, but last night after volks fest etc i went for a mega spin, gave it good old right foot through the twisty turny's and came home chuft. so its well and truly staying!!
came down to a few things sell and go golf,
blow everything i can get me hands on, all on my car and well annoy the mrs!
take it easy (simple gental moding)
or stop all together and love the car for wot it is,
so im....... completley keeping the car, spending as much as is sensible ish lol going skint ye not credit cards!
so my mega plans that im gna start with are
full respray with a different touch and modded front bumper
coilovers
and brakes. been dieing for these for months jst problem after problem has held me back
new leon cupra front splitter
front and rear strut brace
and few other bits and bobs!!
so look out lol

ever noticed me and you daz are early morning post whor.es ? lol night shifts like me this week is it? just got in through the door, problem is i use a fortune in petrol from fairwater to llantrisant through the lanes as theres absolutely traffic and it gets a hammering all the way once warmed up!
why you want a respray matt? im not a huge fan of this unless nesasary and a tidy job will set you back roughly similar money to a atp turbo conversion

and halfords sell it! basically my front end is quite stonechiped so while having the front end done the little dent in my door might eswell have it all done+ that little touch i menioned lol

LOL DP is what i may do if i can get access to ramps, was gonna use a pit at my dad's work, but he's on hols now!
Spamco's were sold a while back, because i'd already replaced them with the FMIC! Although i've got some small tubing in the engine bay i could do.

Dont need ramps todo the dp, took me 10 mins to get mine off and 10 mins to get it back on... and I used halfrauds axle stands on the first hole.
Although the dp did almost fall off because guesstec ****ed it up.

dont reckon it'll be that easy getting the bolts off Toms, mine were a **** first time round. though if theyv been soaked for weeks they aint gonna get any slacker

I dont like being under the cupra, for some reason, under axle stands, gives me the heebee geebies! Got a fear of it crushing me! (odd i know)
you could build a platform for, in front of the ramps carl, so the step up isnt as bad!
Personally i'd prefer something like this!

nah iv tried rigging something up to get the car on the ramps....urs might be ok being as it isnt lowered yet but mines a bitch so i use kurbs instead
