So what goes on in here then? Wasn't too sure as it's in the Mk3 section... and I'm far too busy (lazy!) to read the 100 odd pages to find out :headhurt:

Speaking of oil, seem to be using a fair bit recently - can't see any leaks anywhere :confused: It didn't use a drop until my first service (10k) when I upgraded to fully synthetic. Only done 6k since and I've had to top up a litre :shrug:

I was only joking mate, Carl's lying, there is plenty of mk3 ibiza disscussion in here, but also alot of banter between us all, because we are all relatively local.

My car was/is the same on fully synthetic. Trying semi 10w40 now.

Got a copy of Autodata last night and this is what your supoosed to use...

Cold climate 5w30
Moderate climate 15w40
Warm climate 20w40

thing is its gonna be thin at that rating...and Thicker is Better is just a myth
u dont want it too thick as this restricts flow

10w-40 is basically a 1 size fits all viscosity
better idea would be just to use the right stuff and keep it topped up
