3 new gauges, one drivers side mat, one outer temp sensor, injector o rings and possible aero wipers (and HID's dave.lol) will be on the car this weekend.

If Dave's popping up to do your HID's Phil, ii'll bring mine too!

Does this stuff look ok for fitting the gauges:

i wanted HIDs normal bulbs suck anus, but the only stuff the car is getting this month is a new pair of toyos for the fronts. followed by an full alignment check the week after!

just to keep you all updated on the big hairy gay that is jonzy hes now gone and got himself a s/s weld in thread for the zentronix (sp?) wideband probe and monitor hes brought, trick stuff, ive seen a camera pic of it and it looks nice gear, the same as bill (badger5) has! Building into quite a beast

how many mats did you buy then phil? Im tempted to get a house soon as ive seen some good deals so may hang on to my car a bit longer yet, need to mint her up first as shes wanting some attention!

Whipped the boot lock out earlier to try and find out why the handle isn't working, was hoping to find a link off somewhere, but, bummer. It's a sealed unit so can't get into it to see why. Looks like a Seat parts dept. jobbie fun fun

surprised by that dude, when i took mine apart the system was obvious straight forward and problems were instantly noticed

Mine got stuck today. The usual twist one way then another didnt work.


Got the plastic off and it looks like the ball and cup thing on the rod to unlock it along with the horizontal plastic rotating lock thing gets stuck. Sprayed with loads of white grease and jobs a good un.


Wired in 3 gauges today/yesterday, got the boost gauge on the steering column with the oil temp/pressure in the pillar.

Mine used to be like that Phil, the locking solenoid is fine and that ball joint. It's just the handle mech doesnt do fkall.
Did you take the boot handle out Carl? My problem is the actual handle, it doesnt twist the mech so the rod with the ball joint doesnt move. Gotta keep climbing into the boot and pulling the rod myself. pain in the arse!

Try the horizontal piece of plastic thats just above that ball joint and the lock arm.

Its supposed to rotate freely. Mine was sticky as ****.

Bout £80 at dealers I would guess at? bummer. As said to you just now phil, it all moves freely just doesnt move when the handle is used. Must have a broken link inside the handle unit.

BTW cheers for doing the N24something or other, it fell off that point and melted a little, but its ok, got them both mounted seperatly now, on shiney bolts!

And HID's are fitted too, and are fecking awesome!! Cheers to Dave for the help on the phone. (Once i'd got inside and had a look at the wires under proper light, i could see the colours. Still had someone check them too)
But all up and running. I reckon I could have done it in shorter time too, had i not lost my hole cutter!!

But they are in, and im lighting up small area's of South Wales, when the lights are on!

oright lads well i aint bin on here for ages, only because i dont have the internet at my new house yet, iv moved out with one of my mates!! we just need to sort out broadband now and il be back full time lol

my cupra is still off the road which i am absolutly tamping about, iv got annoyed with my 106 diesel and i just managed to get a bargin of a suzuki vitara fat boy jeep convertable from ebay!! well all have to meet up again soon
