Nah its under the scuttle panel, its a coke bottle with a hose fitted to it. I dont drive in the rain so i only fitted it for MOT purposes.

i keep thinking these little 'removals' of various underbonnet items like washer bottles, air con etc wouldn't make much of a difference. but i guess their collected weight is quite a lot and does make a difference!

You couldnt do without your aircon rhys lol, does have a little gain tho as it takes weight and tension off the crank shaft. Ive seen others with smaller washer bottles so they can get the intercooler pipework down there, cant remember if it was off the mk1 or mk2 golf tho

aye but the standard washer bottle is like 5L volume, thats gotta be pretty heavy when even half filled.

Have you actually picked up a SAI pump and aircon pump?

I reckon, by removing, aircon pump, rad and hoses, stupid weight on the chasis, battery in the boot, EVAP cannister, washer tank, header tank all the **** on the top of the engine its gotta be like 20-30kg's off the front end.
