Spacers, universal or hubcentric

hey guys, after realising my back end wasnt spaced so well i decided to pop down to my local maccess and get some spacers.
me with no newly found 10mm spacers wasnt very happy, so reading through some threads found that people use 20mm.

now my question is, are the H&R hubcentric spacers worth the money, or will some 20mm universal jobs off ebay, or two lots of these cheap race-x ones serfice?

the more you pay usually the better quality they are and the lighter they are. Also if you do go for 20mm then you should definitely get hubcentric spacers.

Don't forget you'll need longer bolts as well!

have a look on ebay got mine from a guy how stocks 20mm hubcentric spacers this is how i got them from had no problems with them at all.

FK hubcentric ones from Venom Motorsport are TuV approved and seem very good for the money

Wouldnt personally trust something cheap and universal off ebay, Being that its pretty much the only things that will be keeping my wheels in place.

Ive got the H&R ones, superb quality had them on for 8months now and still look brand new when checked them out recently. So light weight aswell I was shocked!

I used to have a forge set of spacers which cost me just over £4 to post...someone I know went to the post office to post their ebay specials and they wanted £12 something for the same service....weight difference is quite obvious!

damn that is quite a difference in weight, i think as far as price and quality goes i may have to go for the fk ones, although the 20mm ones do not bolt onto the hub. damn why is this so hard lol

I need some proper spacers aswell. Are spacers for the rear the same as the front?

Remember with Fk you have to order the FULL spacing you need... I.e. if you want 20mm on one side you will need a 40mm kit... The best place to get 20mm spacers is ebay as you get the bolt on kit for MUCH cheaper than anywhere else.

You will need hubcentric spacers for anything over 10mm. I wouldn't get 10mm as hubcentrics don't fit over the hubs and non-centrics don't allow enough hub for the wheels to locate on.

the link that i gave u for the spacers are excellent you dont get longer wheel bolts with most of the other kit what u get is the 2 20mm spacers with wheel bolt that bolt your spacers to the hubs and then you own wheel bolts bolt to the spacers. much safer than just having longer wheelbolts mine have been on a year now have not gone rusty still look like they where put on yesterday great value.i take my wheels off twice a month to clean the inside of the rims and have not probs with the treads on the hubs

the spacers have the same tread as what the wheel hubs have so you should not have any problems with your wheel bolts. not sure what lenght my wheel bolts are if you had posted this yesterday i could of told you as given the car a complete valet and had the wheels off to clean the wheels,paint calipers,paint wheel tubs painted the wheel bolts black o match the wheels etc etc 2 1/2 days later the car looks

Mine arrived yesterday!

Hoping to fit later on this evening, but looks like I may need shorter bolts.... fingers crossed though

Ah! Just went to fit them, my wheel bolts are about 3mm too long!

Going to take them to a blacksmiths to shorten them slightly, cant justify purchasing new bolts for the same of 2/3mm

UPDATE- Cut them myself with a junior hacksaw, then used a wheel nut to correct the thread, was stupidly easy! Mad up with the spacers, they make a difference!

Just wondering if you guys have spacers on the front and rear, or just on the rear?

Iv just widened the rear axle by 40mm, have another set to go on the front, but the geometry looks pretty square with just the rear spacers.

Just don't want to fit the front spacers and have the front axle wider than the rear.
