would never have bosch plugs again, i bought the car with the bosch super 4s in, when i took them out they were totally knackered, tiny bits of ceramic missing off of them.

How about NGK BCR8ES? I use these on my BAM engined MK2 Golf and have never had any isses.. Track & Road highly recommend them. Anybody else have experience with these? X4 plugs within £10 which is a good deal i reckon.

The cooler temperture range means the plugs conducts heat away from the tip better than a hotter one at high revs/high boost presures, hence reducing the chances of the plug tip pre-igniting the charge at the wrong time. They will only affect engine tempertures by a fraction (maybe 2-3C), not really anything worth worrying about , it's the temperture of the plug tip that the heat range actually has an affect on. Too cold a plug will foul at idle speeds though so you have to get a good compromise between the two. Now my car is remapped i've just ordered the NGK BKR7EIX's. I think the 8's would be a step to far for a stage 1 car IMO
