they havent made this easy have they...

so going inside out to the door, the wires dont just run plain through the chassis and into the trunking.

they go to into connectors, which go into a distribution block at the point of entrace to the trunking, wires then run through some tight tape, out into the gromet in the inside panel of the door, and to the speakers

so u obvoiusly cant run the wires thro the tight tape thats already there, or the connectors (in pic shown)

i take it you shove the new wires thro the big gromet in the door panel, but how do you get them in the cabin?

there is another open hole just below the connectors in the pic, but that would mean chopping a small hole in the trunking to get the wires out, to get them thro that hole

hi, I just ran wires last Saturday in my Ibiza. I pulled the wires thru the big gormet and then just made a small cut in the tubing and pulled the wires thru there. I tried the unplug the thing for the original wires thinking I could pull them thru there but couldn't get the plug on the inside out.

sorted this :)

i pulled the outside connectors from the square gromet.

then pressed the top and bottom catch on the gromet to unseat the gromet, pulling out from the car.

then removed the inside connectors from the gromet (which are now hanging through the hole, still connected to the inside of the gromet.

then i chopped the inside scaffoldnig frmo the gromet, now i can place the square gromet back in the hole, and just have the cables+speaker wiring running through there, altho they wont be neatly plugged into the square gromet.

don't you just love the word 'gromet' now, eh ?
