Spec Clutche's Or what else???

Well I got my setup from Rennen performance in the U.S
After tax shipping etc, the clutchkit with lightweight flywheel cost me £500.

The guy who works for them is running a GT35 400whp and has had no problems so recommended it for my setup.

Heard good things about them in the states


WTF! £500!

If you have g60 single mass flywheel and essetially VR6 parts then you can get for less than that.

it will be for an Audi TT Quattro....

im after a Spec Stage 3+ equivilant (dont know which one is best?) and also a single mass aliminium flywheel

I wouldnt use an alloy flywheel on a quattro. Its one of the reasons I went for spec as most others only have alloy options.
No matter what you buy, sooner or later someone will have a problem and post it on the net and people get worried. I've heard of problems with helix, spec, exedy, CM and CN etc.
You pay the money and take a chance, lets just hope my spec hold up or I'll be unhappy too.

Ahhhhhhh ok, so steel flywheel is the best would you say??

What are the symptoms with problems for people with alloy flywheel?
