yeah not the best

can make it out though, tbh i think most people want to hear what its like inside with the windows down and outside from a pedestrian pov

actually......just "clicked" on what you said acid........the clip that i did was with the windows up, tried with the windows down but there was too much wind noise for my phone to handle....

Well done mate :) From the sounds of it my Bailey is quite a bit louder than the SplitR. Mine is borderline atmospheric. Definatly need to hear one in person to compare. Might try and get a clip of mine with my phone tomorrow.

At a guess tho, the SplitR will be louder. I'm guessing phones arnt the best thing for recording audio. Really need to get me a digital camcorder.

phone videos really dont do the trick..

Yeah i bet, quick vid of mine from outside, again the phone dosnt really represent the actual sounds :(

I dont think the phone can cope with loud close sounds, the 1st gear change as i start coming towards the camera sounds 'ok' as i was far away. But the closer you get the more distortion you get and the less you can make out clearly. Possibly thats why its no good filming inside the car. Ambient noise is just too loud.

think maybe some of you guys would be surprised by mine, im sure you've heard the 007p with an open filter, but what about with a cold air intake where the open filter is down in the bumper?

imo mine is more than a match for a bov

Its difficult en it to get it sounding realistic.......love the way when you drove past the second time, the lights went out on the building in front of your phone. Class!

Any pics on where you've routed you CAI? Mines down in the wheel arch at the moment but would ideally like it in the front bumper. Can't find any space to route it though. :(

Yeah it is hard :( And yeah i didnt even notice those lights go out in the building until i'd watched it a few times! Its all about the timing you see :p

why not stop the car and rev the engine, my 007p makes more of a dumping noise than that.

You try it, they sound sooo much quieter when filmed by a phone. As for revving the engine, i'd bet the noise from the engine would be too much for the phone and distort the sound.

done on my mobile phone, ramair maxflow, with heatshield fitted, no cai and a forge 007p.
Will get a crisper vid tomorrow if anyone is interested.

Gavthelad - I guess you're remapped, as that seems a hell of a lot louder than mine on a standard LCR... Yet another reason to get a remap!!!

Tried to catch mine the other day, but couldn't pick it up on the phone... Will have another go...

No way of really resolving anything via low res clips. Have to all meet up and have a dv war. Weres Bill when you need him?! Heard his car come in our road the other day and his DV was soooooooooooo loud! I was in the spare room with windows (double glazed) closed and my playstation on and it sounded like all hell had broke loose! Wooooooooooooooooosssssshhhhhhh! pop pop bang pop bang bang bang

im gonna try mine tommorrow with either my digi cam or camcorder, should be much much better!!!

That would be handy :)
