Hi,

Yesterday i replaced my rear discs and pads on my cupra, also sorted out the seized piston, ive bled the rear brake lines but im still getting spongy brakes...

is it best to bleed the fronts aswell ?

Cheers

as above bleed all the the lines (if you have abs with the engine idling) also remember if you have fitted new pads and discs they take awhile to bed in.

Cheers, how come you have to have the car idling if i have abs? would that mean i will have to bleed the backs again?

Will give the fronts ago tomorrow then.

Cheers

Having the engine running is allowing fluid to pass through the abs unit, however they are supposed to be done using vag.com or similar to put the unit into its basic setting.

check the brake lines and start with the furthest away first

iirc it will be RH and LH REAR then RH then LH FRONT

mate my brakes are soft and had them bled twice pressure and i been keeping a eye on thing and noticed mine is a vac probem as when my boost gauge drops to 30 in vac the brakes are rubbish but when its on or just under 20 they are brilliant have u got the same problem..
