Hi all, just joined, i need some advice, i have got a 2007 1.2 SEAT IBIZA Ref Sport, and want to give it a sportier sound, now i understand some people fit induction kits and also exhausts pipes that will fit onto then end of original exhaust to achieve this, could someone please recommend compatiable product that will fit my car model and if you could share your experiences if you have fitted these as i have not done this thing before.
Many Thanks.;)

well I had a 1.2 for 6months and I mus say the biggest sound diffrence was changing the exhaust. You are at a slight advantage as the seat 1.2 is a 3cylinder 12v and in my opinion sounds very nice compared to the likes of 1.2 corsas etc. Best sound is going to be a pannel filter, dont bother with induction kit they cost a lot and probably arnt worth it, combined with an exhaust again i would go for a custom jobby and specify just what sounds you want.

Thanks for the reply Guinness, what exhaust do you have and where did you buy it from, is it an expensive upgrade to do and did you do it yourself.
Thanks

Id just get a back box mate for a £100ish notes done, should do the trick if you take out a silencer.

As for a panel filter, this will give NO extra sound IMHO. If all you want is sound (what else do you want from a iccle 1.2!) then id spend abit more and get a induction kit, it WILL sound better.

So induction kit and back box IMHO.

Or of course drop a 2.0T from the MK2 Leon Cupra in, that would make it sound nice aswell :)

in my experience when i put my kand n panel filter in my mk4 1.2, above 3,000rpm you can definitely notice more of a growl, sounds ace. j ust my opinion. :)

Guys, what back box would I have to be looking for? I'm interested.

My insurers wanted another £13 a month for it. No way, just for a bit of extra noise. It's a very straightforward job to do, if anything DOES happen, it'll only take 5 mins to swap back to original state. And I'm not very mechanically apt.

Nice one :)

Admitting on a public forum that your refusing to pay the extra for a modification but still got it fitted :cartman:

eg. Admitted to invalid insurance in my eyes!
