Sports Cat Pipe Diameter

Hi all with a Sports Cat on an LCR or anyone in the know. Just a quick one, when you got it, coupled with a 3" DP, did you find that that end that connects to the 3" DP is 3" but the other end of the Cat pipe that connects to the Cat-back, is smaller...2.5"?

The 3 inch cat end should still mate ok with say a stock cat back system. From memory the flange is wider o the smaller bore exhausts to mate up satisfactory to the smaller bore cat backs.

Thanks dude. So at a later date, when I mate up a 2.75" cat-back system, it will all fit ok, even though the end of the sports-cat is 2.5"?
