Spring clicking noise

Hi guys,

Just after a short drive tonight, noticed a noise when turning the wheel. Sounds like a spring turning in the seat? One loud 'click'.

Only happens when reversing round a corner or turning at low speed?

Just had the car in garage today too so wondering if the spring is not seated correctly after being on the ramps maybe?

Any ideas?

Hi,

Mine had a new airbag clock spring fitted which stopped my clicking noises.

Been 6 weeks and it's fooking back stealers are useless lol

Where was the noise coming from, the steering wheel? Mine sounds like its coming from one of the suspension units?

I thought I had drove the noise out earlier on, then when I turned wheel on the spot it returned again!

Hi,

If it's the suspension then it could be the wheel bearings, need removing and regreasing.

Mine went in to have this done recently..........
Fix creaking from front suspension TPI bulletin 2040238/1 (or) possible retorqueing of the suspension turret bolts.

That could be the issue not the airbag clock spring.
