Hi all.

My ibiza squeeks every day regardless of the weather until I get it up to a decent speed and then it goes. It sounds like it's coming from the front. Has anyone had anything simular? I did wonder if it was the suspension?

I dont know alot about cars but I've tried pushing it side to side from the front but I can't hear anything.

I haven't been using it that much for the past year due to health issues, however my other half took it to Birmingham the other week so gave it a good run but again the next day the same squeaking noise.

Oh its a 2007 sport ref. Really appreciate any help or thoughts as its due for a MOT in the next week.

Defo not a stone as had that a few times when I've come back from the coast. You can notice it more when you drive down uneven roads at slow speeds, or when I reverse off my drive.

This is exactly the same problem iv got with mine. Someone said that it might be the front anti roll bar bushes. I only noticed mine after i put my Kw coilovers on but I doubt it's them coz they are expensive. Definitely a rubber of some sort squeaking. Gunna replace whatever it is with polyurethane!!!

Mines in for an MOT next week, going to ask them to check it over. I'll let you know what they say

Cheers, my mot is due soon too. I turned the stereo off yesterday to listen out for it and I'm certain it's the front anti roll bar bushes

Hiya,

Yep as I thought both driver & passenger side front bushes need replacing.

Anyone know if this is an easy job to do yourself? Been quoted £140 to have them done. I'm still wondering if they actually just need greasing, I've hardly used my car in the past year or so & it defo wasn't doing it when I was using it on a daily basis.

Sweet, ill get mine replaced before its mot :) gunna get some power flex polyurethane black bushes as they last alot longer and are far stiffer so better feel on the front :)

They are a common part prone to failure on the ibiza. I got quoted £80 for front and back wishbones both sides minus the parts. Iv gone for powerflex black series, meant to be as stiff as possible. But most people replace with cupra console bushes. Check out Dave at sere or eBay. Will let u know how the new bushes are when fitted
