Squeeking Car

Hello all,

Jus posting for a bit of advice because NEW SOUTHGATE SEAT are totally **** at giving advice in my opinion the worst SEAT dealership in london anyways gents i need some help every time it rains and my car goes over speed bumps the back of my SEAT IBIZA CUPRA TDI makes a squeeking/crunching noise but it never happens when the weather drys.

As soon as it starts to rain it makes these noises which is very annoying ive check the usual suspension,anti-roll bar bushes and evrything around that area and cant find anything suspicious if any you gents have any advice or ideas it would be very much appriecated.

I seem to remember it's the coil springs getting wet and squeeking in the rubber spring holder cups, a little grease may sort it

a bit like wet trainers on your kitchen floor

yep, grease it all up and you should be fine!

yeah, is nothing serious, happens on my cupra

a bit of lube and you'll be fine!

lube the rubber cone at the top of the rear springs. white greese

funny I noticed this just today, I left my headunit cover at home today and had to drive in silence for a change and going over speed humps, even very slow, mine was squeeky from the back of the car.

Thanx for your help ill try the grease today ill just have to nick one of my mechanics, its really annoying sometimes you just think what the hell its like the phantom ghost comes and goes.

I thought i had a poltergeist at one point lool but thanx alot i was really sweating thought it was serious but ill give it a go and let you know how it goes.
